When it comes to cheating it is arguable that women do have a slight advantage when it comes to not getting caught, as we tend to raise men to want to shout at the hilltop's anytime they have sex, while we tend to raise women to want to hide that fact as much as possible.

We also have a tendency to culturally condition people to believe that the majority of men are capable of cheating and being bad while the majority of women are not. I don't think that affects how often men and women cheat, though perhaps it does explain why statistics frequently show that women tend to get away with it more than men i.e. women are better at hiding it and at catching men who cheat.

With this in mind, I think you are right, it does contribute, that's why I'm not sure lying flows any more naturally for women than it does for men, I think it's more we are culturally conditioned to be more trusting of women than men, and the women who are liars tend to use this to their advantage, creating the illusion that it flows naturally.

Also, from a young age women are frequently raised to hide things more than men are, and are frequently led to believe that they are inherently good and not bad whereas men are the opposite, whereas men are frequently raised to believe women are good while they themselves are inherently bad and so must try not to be, making women feel bad about themselves and men, while in truth being clueless about the true nature of men, and men feel bad about themselves and their gender while in truth being clueless about the true nature of women.

This fact of course has the detrimental effect of creating a situation where women unless they are playing the innocent Saint aren't believed because they are seen as skilled liars and so untrustworthy, and men unless they are acknowledging how bad they are aren't believed because they are seen as untrustworthy full stop.

Whatever the truth, that's why I think it's so important to step away from gender lines, and stop seeing one gender as this way and another as this way, and instead as a society start fully acknowledging that when it comes to lying and cheating, gender has nothing to do with it.

Thanks for reading, and for the comment! Much appreciated, Jessey :-)
