Those factors play into a massively underrepresented part of the issues facing our society, and that is the fact that our society is now so complex, it is taking longer and longer to give children the knowledge they need to function in society, which is further delaying childhood.

It’s the paradox of technology and advancement, the more technologically advanced our society becomes, the more knowledge we need to give our children for them to function in our society.

The problem with that is, the more knowledge we need to give our children, the longer our children’s childhoods need to be. For example, it’s almost like today, people need to travel and stay in education much into their adulthood, just to get the knowledge they need to function in a multicultural technological world. That leaves the question, whether it’s a choice, or a necessity for the world we have created. I would lean towards the latter, as those who tend to not follow these paths, tend to struggle more often than not.

Thanks again for the comments, Caitlin!
