And it's a Stone Age and beyond point rather than USA centric. I have a friend who works in ancestral biology who highlighted the point to me, that historically slavery has been so widespread that it is pretty much a certainty that every single person alive will be able to, if they were able to trace their ancestry far enough back, find an ancestor who was a slave and an ancestor who was a slave owner. Just thought it was an interesting point, shows you how interrelated we all really are!
