Super glad you enjoyed it, Christian, especially as a Frenchman! A cool fact for you, the Anglo world always jokes about the French Armed Forces in World War I and World War II, but what’s crazy is, the French army near enough single-handedly held the lines for the first year of the First World War, which allowed the British the time to train up their army, which allowed us to take the initiative from then on.

In the Second World War, the French soldiers got stitched up by the French government due to the simple fact that they insisted the army create the ultimate defence at the German border, but in the ultimate own goal, left Belgium wide open. This put the French army in a perilous situation, because all logistics and setup was based around the border, so when the Nazis simply went through Belgium, the French army didn’t have any logistical setup to be able to stand their ground.

Yet despite this, they managed to defend valiantly against insane odds long enough for the British to make their escape at Dunkirk. That means the bravery of the French soldiers in the First World War and the Second World War, and the sacrifices they made, is what allowed the British the chance to come in and win the war. What I’m saying is, we may make jokes, but only a fool forgets the insane bravery of a Frenchman fighting for his country!

Thanks again for the comment, Christian, glad you enjoyed them!
