Story wise I totally agree, but I just find it such a darn entertaining spectacle! In truth though I think the entire series lacked thought in regards to story, that's why there is zero continuity throughout. It sort of feels like the saga was created with Disney and the directors thinking, this would be cool rather than this makes sense in regards to creating a trilogy with a consistent and coherent storyline!
