A very true point, Elicia. Great post, a lot of food for thought! I often wonder whether a dating app would function far better, if women only ever saw the guys that had liked them, and guys were induced to be very selective through be giving access to filters, and being induced to use them.

Perhaps that would help address the issue of women having so many options due to a lack of women on the apps and an overabundance of men, which creates an imbalance of power that does not translate to real life, most often resulting in women finding it very difficult to connect with guys for long term relationships from dating apps.
